Was in need of a base-layer after my old ones gave way. I was replacing a pair of synthetic Helly Hansen's and thought this pair would be better since it's more order reducing. Overall, they're thicker than I was expecting, but I think it's great for the winter and wearing under ski pants. For the summer, I anticipate needing a thinner layer for backpacking. Very high quality and comfortable to wear during activity as well as to sleep in. Only complaint is the rise is a bit low on the back and I would have preferred a mid ride or high rise.
