Thin and light, but provides an adequate layer to prevent friction and blisters. Actually wore the pair I ordered for a Tough Mudder. They were wet and muddy the entire race, but I had no issues with my feet and they washed out fine afterwards. You can't go wrong with smartwool socks, worth every penny!
