W Wong's Review of Snow Peak My Folding Bamboo Table

I have a camping chair and would love to have something to hold my drinks and snacks.

The bamboo surface is extremely smooth, same as their IGT counterpart, probably waxed or resin-coated. And it is big enough to hold a standard butane stove.

The table is very easy to open and close, no locks required to operate. Its spring action will lock itself into position. This My Table also comes with a nylon cover that can be doubled as a carrying bag, very clever design.

The tabletop is only good for 5 KGs (or 11 lbs), so don't sit on it, the metal support will bend and break.

The bamboo surface is also delicate, if you need to put stove or hot dishes directly on top of it, it will cause burn marks. You should put them on a coaster. Snow Peak has a metal tabletop add-on for heat protection. Despite it is not foldable, I could not find it in any US stores. The newer Tabiki version (metal) of My Table has stronger support, designed for cooking on top of it, and with a rail for holding sierra cups or towels.

There are 3 add-ons for this My Table: metal tabletop, smartphone triangle compartment, and extra shelf (double as a IGT single unit tray). Only the shelf can be found in US.

In Japan, Snow Peak My Table is usually reviewed against Uniflame side table, which has a metallic surface, but not foldable making it bigger in packing size.
