Tony's Review of Spyderco Lil' Native Compression Lock Folding Knife
Considered the compression lock with the you tube rave reviews, maybe next time, went with the back lock since I am more familiar with it.
This is a stout Lil' folder, feels very good in the hand, much better feel to me with xl hands than the Dragonfly II.
I bought this to replace the Dragonfly which I had thought was lost.
After ordering the Lil' Native for a replacement, and getting the "shipped" email notice, just happened to find the Dragonfly in the laundry lol...such is life, full of surprises.
Actually happy and laughed about it since I like the new knife even better, and would not have it if the laundry had been done earlier (I am over 60 and don't care).
The fit is excellent, tight as new, centered blade with nice steel.
The finish outside is well done, the finish inside is rough with machine marks in the lockup area, even though there is some polishing.
I have the thought of sending it to Spyderco for a fine tune to finish the polish.
In general, it is a tough, small and stout, sharp Lil' pocket knife, a few dollars more, but the old saying of spend a bit more to get what you really want, something good, that will last, and you enjoy.
Remember, check the laundry before ordering a replacement...or not lol.
Pros:
Stout build
Cons:
Machine marks inside
Best Used for:
Shall we think of something a Lil' clever?
Would Recommend:
Yes
