Dora's Review of Stanley Adventure Vacuum Food Jar - 18 oz-Stainless Steel
First this isn't a scientific review, temperature readings are in Fahrenheit scale. This is what I did and the results. First I didn't go by the instructions as this isn't what I would do but may increase the warm time of your hot items. I didn't preheat the container but filled it with 210deg boiling water. I then did a temperature test every hour for 13 hours. I placed the Stanley Adventure Vacuum Food Jar - 18 oz-Stainless Steel in my 45+- deg F refrigerator. After every hour starting at 1 hour I removed the Jar tested and reinserted it back into the refrigerator. The jar was only open for the time it took me to take a reading and open and close it, probably several minutes as I had to different size jars to test also. My results, yours may vary,....1hr 186deg big drop in temperature was probably from not pre warming the jar, 2hr 175deg, 3hr 166deg, 4hr 159deg, 5hr 152deg, 6hr 146deg, 7hr 140deg, 8hr 135deg, 9hr 130deg, 10hr 125, 11hr 121deg, 12hr 117deg, 13hr 113deg. Over all I am pleased with the performance of the Stanley Adventure Vacuum Food Jar - 18 oz-Stainless Steel. Your mileage may and probably will vary. I also did the same test at the same time on the Stanley Mountain Vacuum Food System 20 oz.
