I bought these prior to a 6-day UL hike to peg down a tarp.
Lucky I tested them before I left, because the first time I set up my tarp in the backyard, two of these broke (the yellow knobs flew off into the great beyond).
I repaired them with epoxy nubs, but the second time I tested them, I lost another yellow nub, and the hard spikes on the bottom of three have fallen off.
