Great for weekend trips! - Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp

I've been using this mat for two seasons now. I've used it in both summer and Winter conditions. I like the 5.8 R-value rating which keeps me warm in colder temps throughout the late Fall, Winter and early Spring. This mat holds its air very well and doesn't lose much air when temps dip down real low. It boasts that it is self-inflating, and like most self-inflating mats I've tried, doesn't really inflate well on its own. You do still need to mouth blow about 8-10 breaths for maximal loft. I have used this mat in the backcountry as well; I strapped it to the back of my pack and it worked well but was a bit cumbersome and heavy for backpacking. This is my go to mat for weekend car camping trips and where there is an extended stay on a single site. The quality is very good and the mat has really held up through over 60+ nights of use in the past two years. I recommend this basecamp mat!
