eaf49's Review of Therm-a-Rest Backpacker Classic Sleeping Pad
I purchased my first Thermarest sleeping pad more than 30 years ago from the Army military clothing sales store. I used it when we deployed to Somalia, several field problems and whenever I had the chance to backpack. The pad has never leaked and has withstood many nights without failing (I bought the repair kit, but it is still in the plastic bag it came in). I retired from the Army in 1998-I still use the mattress whenever I backpack! The pad is a bit heavier than some other pads, but very much worth the extra weight! I bought this new one for my wife. The quality of the mattress is the same as my original and I am sure that it will give us many years of great sleep on the trail. I'm 70 and still backpacking and will continue to until the great dirt nap catches up with me-I'll just pass it on to my grandson.
Pros:
Exceptional quality
Cons:
Just a bit on the heavy side
Best Used for:
back packing, camping
Backpacking 30-60 degrees
Would Recommend:
Yes
