Ittybitty climber's Review of Vasque Grand Traverse Hiking Shoe
Did a 5 1/2 mile hike on rocky terrain and by the end of the hike I was ready to throw these across the stream! This has super sticky traction which I was looking for when I have to hike on rocky terrain going to climbs. The size fits true and looks very stable however...the laces puts to much pressure on the top of my foot I had to stop numerous times to adjust it by tying it into different configurations to avoid hot spots. This was futile. By the end of the hike I had tweaked my knew and hip trying to avoid putting pressure on certain parts of my feet. ugh! After the hike I remembered why I don't buy Vasque hiking shoes. My first were over 16 years old and the second is 5 years old both had this problem but not as bad. I have low volume feet so I don't know why this is a problem for me. I read good reviews on this shoe and thought my problem would not be an issue, wrong!
Pros:
good support
sticky rubber
Cons:
lacing puts too much pressure on the top of the foot
Would Recommend:
Yes
