The unique inflation valve is no joke and works just like its advertised. It took me about 20 breaths to get the pad to a firmness of my liking, but that's nothing for how thick the pad is when fully inflated. The valve design is also great for deflating the pad (which literally takes about 1 second). Unlike other inflatable pads, you won't need to press and roll the pad in order to get all the air out. Once its deflated, it rolls up fairly small and the built in storage bungee is great.
