The first time I used the cooler, I didn’t pre-cool it, but just threw in 3 small frozen inserts, the kind you might put in a lunchbox. Everything was still cool the next day. The cooler was rugged enough to serve as a small table, a step-stool, a cool spot for too many veggies to put in the fridge, and the local curious toddler couldn’t defeat the pliable closure and get into the contents.
