Can't seem to break in the boot - Zamberlan 730 Gear GTX Backpacking Boot - Mens

After several months of use on many short but steep hikes on rough terrain boots still feel very stiff. It's very nice looking but now I have a bunion on my left big toe where it rubs against the boot. Although the most expensive boot I've ever bought I am disappointed that it's not working that well for me.
