Because of an untimely boot failure on another brand, I had an urgent need for replacement boots in for a 20 mile backpacking trip in Southern Utah canyon country. After seeing the glowing Backpacker 2010 Gear Guide award and review for these, I took the leap and had them overnighted to me the day before the trip. I hit the road the next day with 0 break in time for these boots.
