Off-grid shower winner! - Zodi Extreme Shower

I've had this Zodi at my off-grid cabin for 5 years. I've used all the backcountry showers and this one has endeared itself as essential equipment. It's main quality is offering a reliable hot shower regardless of weather; no sun required. It is built like a tank (ha-ha!) and requires minimal maintenance. An occasional drop or 2 of mineral oil inside the pump plunger is all. I did replace the small push/pull shower head with a kitchen sink type sprayhead because what's provided is difficult to operate with soapy hands. The sink sprayer uses a side on/off lever. Mine came with the propane stand originally, which I had the legs tack welded so it is all one unit now. By design the legs are meant to disassemble (takedown), but my Zodi is no longer travels. The shower unit resembles a commercisl grade fire extinguisher. After heating the water for about 15 minutes (shield from wind), twist on the pump and give it about 25 strokes. You now have a hot pressurized shower. Using the get wet, sosp up, rinse off Navy shower technique, the water capacity is adequate for 2-3 adults. Perfect set-up for permanent camps, cabins, boats, and roadtrips.
Pros:
Reliable and low maintenance
Cons:
Uses flame so safety awareness required. Heavy when full of water. Provided shower head difficult to operate with soapy hands
Best Used for:
Semi to Permanent off-grid locations
Would Recommend:
Yes
