Ultralight with compromise "So firstly, the actual shopping experience with Campsaver was great as always, shopped here for many years. Onto the jacket. Pros - super light weight - packs into pocket to form a pillow - great fit (I'm 182cm and 85kg, athletic build and the medium is spot on) - looks good - hood noticeably helps - warm Cons - its warm but the compromise is that it is an ultralight jacket, definitely not super warm. You will need to layer as the temp gets around the 5-10C mark. - love the materials used but it does feel fragile, again a compromise when going UL but Patagonia has an amazing warranty so this isn't a huge con, just one to note. Overall You get what you pay for. Meaning a well built, warm, ultralight jacket with one of the best warranties in the industry, hence the high cost. Its not the warmest jacket but for us UL/minimalist hikers this jacket is fantastic!" |
