The Tubbs Flex VRT Snowshoes were designed to deliver premium performance for backcountry exploration. The new DynamicFit binding with the Boa Closure System produces evenly distributed tension around your boot for ultimate precision. The FLEX Tail design eases stress on your joints, allowing you to reach even the most intense summits.
Features of Tubbs Flex VRT Snowshoes:
Torsion Deck: adapts to variable snow conditions underfoot. The decks allow torsional articulation throughout the body of the snowshoe, enhancing traction, biomechanics and comfort on uneven terrain.
Rotation Toe Cord-Rotatin Limiter: design enables the tail of the snowshoe to drop and snow to shed off the tail, reducing cardio-respiratory strain by 7%. The underfoot pivot point also allows the toe traction teeth to bite deeply into the snow when weighted. A rotation limiter prevents over-rotation and shin bang
Dynamicfit Binding: integrates the Boa Closure System with the comfort of EVA foam to produce even pressure distribution around your boot, creating precise fit and optimized control. Releasing the binding is as simple as pulling up on the Boa dial
Flex Tail: absorbs shock from heel strike, reducing the amount of stress on your joints and allowing you to snowshoe farther, longer and with less stress on your body
Viper 2.0 Crampon: carbon steel toe crampon with jagged tooth construction maximizes weighted traction and responsiveness
Traction Rails: ensure superior side-hill grip in hard or icy conditions. Progressive molded Snow Brakes, on the deck as well as the Soft Strike zone, improve weighted traction
The boa system that tightens with the turn of the knob has been great! That system has been on cycling shoes for a while and is trouble free when it's cold out on the snowshoes. Great Buy!

Great snowshoe. The bindings are the easiest I've ever used. The crampons are beefed up. I could ascend over a steep rocky sheet of ice without any problems. I weigh 212lbs and the 24" was perfect even with a 20lb backpack.

I just bought my Tubbs Flex VRT Snowshoes about two weeks ago to hike in the snow-covered mountains in Japan. The first trip was Mt. Kurumayama located in the middle of Nagano. I enjoyed snowshoeing in all kinds of snowy conditions and it was the traction of the steel rails that I was very satisfied with. It was remarkable when traversing steep slopes. I am pleased to have thes... Read more
DEMO could mean a few different things. The item may have cosmetic blemishes, was a display model, or in rare cases was a factory defect that was repaired at the factory. All DEMO items are unused.
I am sorry but I don't know specifically why this snowshoe is DEMO.
