A highly breathable version of our popular winter mountaineering pants, the Ascendor Light Pants are engineered with ultralight, durable Matrix fabric and a slim fit that won't hold you back on fast ascents. With only the essential features and fabric, theyre barely noticeable when worn, yet tough enough to stand up to rock, tools, and the demands of alpine use.

The pants have been designed for optimal mobility on the climb, with a long length gusset at the crotch and climbing-specific knee articulation giving you the freedom you need when youre making the crux move. The lower leg is tapered to allow you to easily find the next foothold, yet is stretchy at the hem so that it can fit securely over most summer alpine boots. Kicker patches reinforced with Matrix RX provide extra durability, while the specially placed zipped hand and thigh pockets give access to the essentials when youre wearing a harness. The lightweight, fully exposed part-elasticated waistband with double snap closure is comfortable and low-bulk, with low-profile belt loops allow you to customise the fit.
