Wagan often asked why we didn't opt for a rechargeable version of the FRED light; the answer is simple: reliability. We found that emergency services rely on FRED to keep them safe, if it doesn't work, it can lead to a dangerous situation. Rechargeable units need to be recharged regularly, and they can run out of juice while in use; if you need it immediately, do you have time to recharge it? Our flares are back in action with a simple tool less battery change! Also, batteries are included!

FRED PRO was built to be a safe and effective replacement for dangerous road flares. Road flares are great for being seen, but pose a massive fire risk and are hard to extinguish after use. The FRED PRO remains cool to the touch and does not emit a flame that can start fires. FRED PRO uses bright LED bulbs that have a life span of over 50,000 hours and are resistant to shock and are extremely bright. With 5 Flash modes and a 6 white LED worklight, it is as useful as it is versatile.
