As part of their truly innovative StreamLine roof rack system, the Yakima BaseLine Tower easily adapts to fit the ever-changing roof shape of automobiles. The perfect fit for naked-roof vehicles. This is the tower to use for a bare roof that has no factory-installed rack components. Revolutionary tower design uses a new tri-axial DropHook clip-adjustment motion to accommodate a wide range of roof shapes. The DropHook design ensures that the rack is safe and secure every time, no guesswork. The tower's adaptable BarBed material conforms to work with RoundBar (with adapter), CoreBar and JetStream bars. BarBed allows for 12 of pitch adjustment of the bar angle so that front rear crossbars are as level as possible on vehicles with rounded roof lines. The toe adjustment optimizes the tower position on scalloped roof shapes. The tower allows a maximum load rating of 165 lbs. (75 kg), depending on vehicle and bar rating. Towers come with the only tool needed for installation. To complete the BaseLine Tower System, you will need Yakima BaseClips (#62616.01).
