44 years ago we used 2 of these stoves on the Continental Divide near Umcompagre and Red Cloud Peaks Colorado, for a month. 10 of us cooked and ate everyday from these very used stoves, and they worked every time without a hitch. The only thing I noted upon opening was that one tank attachment devices was off and in the case, the other was very loose. Considering it was shipped from Sweden lord knows how many times it got beat around. This is nothing to me. Reattached with some blue Loctite and no worries. The Nova burner is amazing. This is a bad end of the line for 11/111/111T/111C and now T88 line of stoves from Optimus. While the stove head is OK (it's a Nova Plus), you will find that unless you thoroughly flush the tank, oil the leather pump cap, and replace the spindle o-rings, you will have a clogged fuel line, be unable to pressurize, and may have a hazardous situation (o-rings have been recalled). ...
