Upon receiving my 50oz GSI Java Press (red) in the mail, I immediately washed it out and went to brew my first cup of french press coffee.
The construction of the press is very good with one caveat. While the carafe, lid, plunger, and neoprene cover are all excellent quality, the handle felt a bit flimsy with about 10oz of water in the press. I fear it may eventually break off... Read more
I purchased this item a few weeks ago. I unpacked it and washed it for the first time. Afterwards, I tested it by making some coffee. First, the plunger screen did not filter all the coffee grounds so I ended up with a fair amount of coffee grounds in my cup. Second, the handle broke off when I washed and dried the darn thing.
