Knowing rain was in the forecast for my Appalachian Trail winter hike, I purchased these barrier socks to wear over my wool socks and it was fantastic. I started using vapor barrier socks last winter to keep my socks and boot insulation dry from perspiration. They are funny looking, but worth it. They have saved me twice now at work. Got some laughs from co-workers the first time I put them on, but they weren't laughing when I still had dry feet, 8 hours later.
