I got this jacket after enduring a cold New England winter. Coming from Colorado I now know what cold is. This jacket is perfect for me, I'm 5'9" 170lbs and it fits almost like a parka. Fantastic Jacket, but....

The materials and construction and feel and style are great. But, the torso is loose fitting and not that warm. 700 fill yes, but there isn't much of it, torso is thin. Arms are nice and warm. I have been looking for months for a down jacket to wear in Chicago winter. I am 6' 1" and 195 and large fits perfect. Great things about this jacket are 700 fill vs more common 550. This is perfect!!! I wanted this coat 2 years ago from another site and I could not afford it at the time. Excellent and very warm jacket

I am someone who gets cold quickly in winter weather. I have always wanted a jacket that keeps me warm, cuts the wind, and is built to last. This one is the best I have ever had. Style is subjective of course, but I prefer this look to the sea of bubble jackets that surround me in my college campus.

Great question. Traditionally jackets do not have temp ratings since the variables between users is to great. Reviews have stated with a light jacket underneath and depending on activity this jacket should get you well below freezing. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
