great trail running shoes, very comfortable shoes, quite lightweight, great traction. But it is kicking off more dust onto my ankles compared to other shoes. One piece of upper "decal" on the arch on the mesh had partially come off, repaired with some tenacious tape

Love these shoes. I have the La Sportiva Wildcats, the Nike Air Zoom Wildhorse 3's and these Lone Peak 2.5's from Altra. Trying to find the best shoes for the longer backpacking trips I'm planning. This is a great trail shoe or even for light backpacking, with a caveat. Wonderful comfort. Really! Until you get on a wet surface with rocks. Then it becomes and ice skate. Slick. Slides.
There is no carbon formulated into the sole and it does not grip on wet.
