At age 53, i am a 25 year veteran of the outdoors. My evaluation is based on only one use but for a straight forward self inflating pad, this one will work. I rated it a 4 only because i have used it once. After a year and 4 more uses, I bet is gets a 5. I got this pad with the Big Agnes Elk Park sleeping bag for Winter camping. This pad was fantastic! Never cold, fit snugly into the Elk Park bag and was a breeze to inflate and deflate/pack up.
Plan to use it with the Buffalo Park bag in the Summer time. A+++
