The Big Agnes Spike Lake 14 is a traditionally insulated bag designed without the integrated pad sleeve found on other Big Agnes System bags. It was designed to decrease weight and size, while increasing thermal value using the traditional mummy shape.

A traditional mummy shaped sleeping bag from Big Agnes. This bag is warm, comfortable, and lightweight, making it perfect for backpacking. I got to use this bag when the temps at night got down to around 20 degrees. While it kept me warm for the most part, I did have a few cold moments. I bought one for myself and one for my girlfriend and we put these to the test. Spent five days in Denali National Park backcountry with 24+ hours straight of rain, and cold windy nights. I've only had this bag for a couple of weeks and used it on one trip to Tanto National Forest, (Hells Gate) AZ. Pretty cold and damp at night close to Tanto Creek this time of year. Temps down into the low 30's. This bag did it's job well at these temps but 14° might be pushing it. But that seems to be the trend with bags.
