As Black Diamonds lightest carabiner in their line, the Oz Carabiner doesn't sacrifice performance or functionality. With an optimized shape, and the snag-free benefits of their HoodWire Technology, the 1-ounce, hot-forged Oz is a great way to lighten your rack.
I love these 'biners. The color coding means I can pick out the cam I want very quickly, and the hoodwire means that it won't snag on anything when I'm pulling it off my rack. In my opinion, they are just the right size, too. On 'biners much smaller than this the gate opening just seems too small to me, and anything larger is just unnecessary.
The Oz (pronounced "Aw-Z")is fantastic! It's super lightweight, without getting so tiny that it's difficult to use (like the new mini-biners).
A great choice to shave weight off your rack.
