I've had my BD Synclines for about 4 years now, they've covered a lot of miles snowshoeing and I used them while hiking for the first time this year. I own / used both of Black Diamond's (orange) Syncline and (red) Trail Back for ultra-lightweight backpacking, with my son and I each carrying one pole and using both for shelter.
