Product Info for Brooks-Range Ultralite Quick Tent - 2 Person, 3 Season

The Brooks Range Mountaineering Ultralite Quick Tent is a super ultra-light, water-resistant rip-stop nylon shelter. Specifically designed for set-up with a single ski or trekking pole.(Not Included) This two person, stand alone tent sets up fast and has no zippers.image

Features of Brooks-Range Ultralite Quick Tent - 2 Person, 3 Season:

  • The UltraLite Quick Tent pitches in about a minute, using a single trekking pole and 6 stakes. Reinforced pole caps holds the main pole in place, with a second point at the center rear of the tent. There are 21 webbing tie outs on corners and edges, including one on top of the pole cup for overhead suspension, and 3 webbing tie loops on the body of the tarp for better security in a storm.
  • The front entrance flaps can be left open for ventilation or overlapped and staked closed for protection from adverse weather. For best ventilation we recommend pitching your UltraLite Quick Tent a few inches above ground level.
  • In alpine conditions, we recommend using the UltraLite Quick Tent along with a bivy bag. The UltraLite Quick Tent will also attach to front of many tents as a simple, extended vestibule.

I don't like fiddling around with knots on tarps, so I bought this since it's one of the cheaper shaped tarps out there and I'd had great experience with Brooks Range's products. NEITHER A TENT NOR QUICK AN OVER PRICED ODDITY

To paraphrase Voltaire, the "Quick Tent" is neither quick nor a tent.Nor is it large enough to be honestly described as a 2 man shelter. It is water resistant, but it would be imprudent to rely on it in very wet conditions.
