Solid protection device

I used # 1 and # 2 just before the crux of a root (weight was distributed evenly), and was caught nicely when I fell from the height no more than 2 meters above the protection. The second could collect them without problem, but cannot say anything about how hard it is to collect if I fell higher than 2 meters from a single protection point.
