The Speed is excellent for climbing and skiing; it’s weight is negligible—you’ll forget that your wearing it. I’ve started to wear a helmet for sport climbing and this is my first choice. Question: how does one obtain the vizor for ice climbing?

I hardly notice it when on. The clips for goggles / headlamp look really weak, so I'm concerned about durability. A few more grams in this area would have been mass well spent in my opinion.

This helmet is light enough that I just wear it all the time when I'm backcountry ski touring. It came in handy on recent tour when I got hit by a pile of snow sliding off a tree branch while I was skinning up on stormy day.

This helmet is very light without feeling flimsy. So far I have used it for rock climbing and alpine climbing and I have not had the problem of styrofoam padds and velcro falling off or twisting and sliding out of place. Not bulky on your head.
It would be nice if it came in more colors, however. I wanted red.
The Speed Helmet is made for Ski Mountaineering, Alpinism, Ice Climbing, and Rock Climbing. I wouldn't recommend using any helmet for anything other than its intended use.
