If size is your only consideration, this may be a good solution. Personally, I way prefer the Sea to Summit hard-anodized series of utensils. They're less than a quarter of the weight, far more robust, and have no parts that can be lost. Okay, technically, they do have ONE part that can be lost... the entire thing.

This is a nice sturdy spoon for backpacking. I tried a plastic folding spoon but it was a little bit too wobbly for me. This works great. It is a nice metal spoon with compact size and light weight. Folds easily.

I like this spoon as folded it fits in my cook pot where a longer spoon would not . It weighs a bit more than my long plastic spoon , But, for me, the organization factor makes up for it . Will be testing it this Apr . we'll update review if any negatives appear .
