Don't be fooled by a bad review. Yes, the stove "guzzles alcohol" BUT because alcohol burns with an output less than 1/2 the BTU of white gas it needs to burn quickly in order to provide an efficient, robust heat source for your meal. The Evernew Stove weighs just 1.1 oz., while the DX stand is only 2.1 oz. Need to go lighter? Just buy the stove and the cross stand, for a total...

Stylish and light but not so amazing!

I bought this in-conjunction with the alcohol burner, hoping that it would be an all in one solution to every situation. In theory it is, however it doesn't boil water as fast as other cheaper or homemade models. It isn't very effective burning wood needs alot of attention, & not very effective burning alcohol. It likes to guzzle alcohol.
