Ultralight summit or day touring pack. Very lightweight yet tough triple rip-stop nylon makes this featherlight single compartment daypack extremely versatile. It holds gear for summit day or a stroll through an exotic market. It stows in its lid pocket when not in use and fits in any pack or travel bag. Use it on multi pitch climbs, while cycling or paddling. The generous zippered top flap provides easy access and the stretch side pocket holds a water bottle or other items that need to be quick at hand.

I keep this nifty little backpack stashed on my motorcycle for those times when I buy just a little too much groceries to fit in the saddlebags or tank bag. It's perfect for carting home a 12-pak of beer!

The ExPed Summit Lite 25 liter pack is a great value and perfect day hike pack. I have not field tested it yet, but plan to carry it for fast day hikes when I take out my Gregory Contour 70 L. pack, as the Summit is light enough to pack as an addition.
My wife used the Exped Summit Lite 25 and I used the Granite Gear Virga 26 to summit Mt Whitney. The Exped is very light and packable, and has easy access with the zip-top versus a roll-top. The Exped has no compression straps to hold the load in place, thus it swings around when you're moving. I bought separate accessory straps and tried several configurations to stabilize the... My wife used the Exped Summit lite 25 to summit Mt. Whitney. My biggest complaint is the lack of compression straps means the bag does not stay close to the body and swings around when you are on the move. Bought separate straps to try to control the load, but still didn't work out too well. Two tool loops would be better, and it only has one outer pocket. Stuffs into it's own ... Read more

I love this extremely light weight pack. It should serve me well as summit pack since I only need it to carry some light weight down jacket and maybe some water bottles during summit push. It even has a ice-ax hoop which is perfect. The build material doesn't look very strong but it's good enough for me for 5 to 8 lbs of load. Will take it to Himalayas next year.
