By figuring out how to bond eVent waterproof-breathable material to the CTF3 fabric at the bottom of the sack, Granite Gear did it! Same features as the original-- ridiculously light, strong, waterproof-- but now with the added advantage of a breathable bottom. As you roll the top down, the trapped air can escape through the end of the bag.image

Unbelieveably Light

I have been using the sil-nylon version of the eVent drysack for several years and love the bags. When I saw these, I found it hard to believe they could so much lighter. They are. Wow, the cubic tech fiber is incredible. The only negative is the cost. An I wish some of the other colors were available so I can "color code" my pack. lightweight drysacks

Nice lightweight drysacks.. the event was more efficient on the Granite Gear silnylon sacks, but these are less that half the weight. The clips did come undone on me and the clip straps got pretty twisted and worn using one as a bear bag on a 4 day backpacking trip... I would buy again just for the weight savings.
