Unbelieveably Light
I have been using the sil-nylon version of the eVent drysack for several years and love the bags. When I saw these, I found it hard to believe they could so much lighter. They are. Wow, the cubic tech fiber is incredible. The only negative is the cost. An I wish some of the other colors were available so I can "color code" my pack. But these are an amazing bag if you want to lighten your pack.
Pros:
- incredibly light and waterproof
Cons:
- Expensive
Best Used for:
- Ultralight backpacking

lightweight drysacks
Nice lightweight drysacks.. the event was more efficient on the Granite Gear silnylon sacks, but these are less that half the weight. The clips did come undone on me and the clip straps got pretty twisted and worn using one as a bear bag on a 4 day backpacking trip... I would buy again just for the weight savings.

3 months, 1000+ miles
For my hike this year of over 1000 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail I brought two, 18L Granite Gear Uberlight sacks with me: one with the eVent bottom and one without. In the one with the eVent bottom I kept clothes and my sleeping bag; in the other, I kept food. These bags got used everyday for three months.
These bags set well inside my backpack side-by-side or stacked one on top of the other.
