The Jetboil Pot Support / Stabilizer Kit includes a pot support that converts the Jetboil PCS and Flash burner for use with the Jetboil FluxRing® Fry Pan and 1.5 Liter Cooking Pot, as well as a wide variety of traditional pots and pans. The stabilizer is a 3 pronged foot attachment that attaches to the bottom of 3 standard size fuel canisters to give the stove more support.image

JetBoil's pot support and stabilizer are lightweight, compact, and easy to install and remove. The stabilizer provides a sturdy base for whatever fry pan or pot you choose to use with the jetboil stove. I loved my Jetboil before, but my menu was decided by what could be cooked in the cup. Words well, slightly unstable

words well enough, but the top, metal pot support doesnt seem to fit snuggly into th jetboil lighting mechanism. Not a problem really, as the 1.5 liter companion pot i bought fits perfectly and doesnt seem to risk falling off.

Jetboil,the portable crock pot!

The Jetboil pot support lets you use bigger pots therefore making bigger helpings of say cornbeef and cabbage.The canister stand will accomodate most propane canisters from the smallest to the largest.

Home, home on the House Range...

The support system allowed me to use the frying pan whcih in turn allowed me to feed over 13 people (two at a time)in an unexpected snowstorm in the House Range in Utah. Two weeks a team of geologists and students had to huddle under a trp and construct a dinner to feed all in a standing position. The Jet boil system was the only means we had to accomplish this.

Q Is this needed to use a cooking pot that is not jetboil? Or is it ok without?

It is specifically designed for Jetboil pots, but you can use it with most other pots (flat bottomed)
