My old tarp was 10 x10. I upgraded to the 16x16 for more room and options. Knowing that it was 16x16 upon getting it I spreed it out to set it up and thought this is huge. I am so glad I made this purchase. I spent many hours shopping for the right tarp for the best price, this was it.
I bought the 9, which is larger than expected. Worked out to be perfect, any larger would have been way to big. This is large enough to comfortably protect a group of four, maybe more, from the rain and elements.

I purchased the 9 end it is larger than we think. I especially enjoyed the pockets that hold the rope to the tarp keeping everything neat and organized. Very well thought out.

I just finished a 7 day river trip that had rain on the 1st 4 days. I am so glad that I brought a Kelty Noah's 20 to replace my (still going strong after 8 yrs of significant use) Noah's 16. The extra 4 feet doesn't sound like a big difference, but that's an illusion. 20 x 20 = 400. 16 x 16 = 256. Not only is it about 60% more coverage, but the useable footprint inside the drip...
