My old tarp was 10 x10. I upgraded to the 16x16 for more room and options. Knowing that it was 16x16 upon getting it I spreed it out to set it up and thought this is huge. But it works great for what I need and is light easy to use the loops and built in guy lines are well attached. I am happy with this purchase. But really consider how big a tarp you really need to have. I got mine to enclose myself and 2 children in hammocks.
