I visited REI and (as well as other places) and viewed and tried on several different rain jackets. This one, far and away, was best. REI did not have my size in stock, btw, and their brick and mortar price, which I appreciate and respect, was higher. Other good-brand jackets, in comparison, felt like plastic bags, or like rubber.
