The Lowa Vajolet GTX boot is handcrafted in Italy. This mixed use alpine boot is designed with light weight in mind. The upper is all microfiber and cordura, sole unit is Edge CR and a double molded EVA material with TPU inserts for combination crampon compatibility.

I recently purchased these boots, stepping up from a day hiking boot, with the intent of not having to purchase various boots for depending on the terrain and weather. Have used them for a few daily hikes so far. No hot spots and quite flexible out of the box.
Very stable, warm and dry.
I'm not so sure about the lacing knob thing on the tongue, maybe just need some time to get used to it.
