Recently used the alugator shovel and loved it. It’s the lightest non-plastic shovel I could find on the market and also the most compact. Sure plastic ones can be lighter but the frigid cold makes them brittle under a certain temperature. Great light shovel. Currently, keep it in my car because Colorado is unpredictable. My only complaint is how hard it is to engage the buttons to release it from fully collapsed to extended. I wonder how difficult it would be with gloves on.
