First if your looking for extreme cold protection these are not for you. This is a tactical glove, great for working in and makes a great winter driving glove. These gloves are hard shell gloves made for extreme mountaineering and as such are quite warm. The insulation for these gloves is actually an insert called an X-taft NG. The lining inside is made of GORE-TEX wicking microquard. The outer shell is also made of GORE-TEX Pro 3-Layer Shell. These gloves will keep water out like nobodies business.
