These gloves are hard shell gloves made for extreme mountaineering and as such are quite warm. The insulation for these gloves is actually an insert called an X-taft NG. The lining inside is made of GORE-TEX wicking microquard. The outer shell is also made of GORE-TEX Pro 3-Layer Shell. These gloves will keep water out like nobodies business.

Rapid cooling may be prevented but no information on how warm it is.
