The jacket is cut, I think, to be used as a layer - I can fit my size L marmot shell jacket OVER the montbell - but not under! It is pretty sweet, overall. Already have the UL Down Jacket but wanted this for the stay warm even if it's wet thing. I like this jacket except the stretchy fabric that they used at the cuff of the sleeves and the lower portion of the side.
