I'm really excited about the jacket - can't wait to take it out hiking - the women's L only weighed in at 7oz! The jacket is cut, I think, to be used as a layer - I can fit my size L marmot shell jacket OVER the montbell - but not under! It is pretty sweet, overall. I was worried about sizing, but the L fits - but it fits like a M. I am pretty straight up and down (despite being a L), I don't
Already have the UL Down Jacket but wanted this for the stay warm even if it's wet thing. I like this jacket except the stretchy fabric that they used at the cuff of the sleeves and the lower portion of the side. The sleeves were about 1" longer than I like so I fixed it by adding elastic inside the cuff. Sort of a pain because of the stretchy fabric that was in the way but I got the job done and

Got this jacket to convert from 2.5lb old down jacket to this under 8oz.sz.med.jacket.What a difference the weight makes on long hikes & changing/packing clothes!Now I get the "keep it simple & go light!" idea.I use this goto jacket for mostly N.Cal.hiking & going around Bay Area.mid 30 to mid 60temps.The new material finish in sapphire blue looks way better than pics.fyi fitting tip-the cut on th

Very light, very compact, warm, but works better as a layer as opposed to a single warm piece. Comes with a stuff sack, which is very small and could double as repair material in case of damage to the jacket.
