Very rugged and protective, utterly waterproof, supremely breathable, very comfortable. Pockets are perfect for a harness and general mountain travel. Glissaded on my butt for over a quarter mile, hit trees, rocks and stumps, bushwacked a long approach and traversed several rugged mountains - and not a scratch on the pants. This pants is EXTREMELY durable! The material is very thick, so you can wear them in the most rocking trips. On the other side this pants is not suitable for casual wearing.
