Very rugged and protective, utterly waterproof, supremely breathable, very comfortable. Pockets are perfect for a harness and general mountain travel. Glissaded on my butt for over a quarter mile, hit trees, rocks and stumps, bushwacked a long approach and traversed several rugged mountains - and not a scratch on the pants. Saved my legs on several rough slips down ice chutes. Highly recommend
