Leather and textile balance the dueling requirements of protection and breathability. The outsole has strategically placed rubber for increased traction and decreased weight over traditional designs.
I'm on my feet most of the day. Had these shoes for about a month now, wear them everyday. This pair is very comfortable, good arch support and a great fit! They definitely keep your feet dry as long as your not in a foot of now :-)

I like the style and fit of this shoe but beware, the sole of this shoe is very hard and slips on wet stepping stones or wood surfaces. It's odd that a waterproof shoe, which should be designed for wet conditions, has very little traction on wet surfaces. I really love these boots. They're very comfortable with a footbed that is perfect for my feet. The outsole is really stable, it will be pretty hard to roll an ankle with these. The waterproof membrane works great but the boot is still breathable.
These are pretty good boots, light, durable, but I had to replace the removable foot beds/soles they provide with Dr Scholls as I'm on my feet all day, and they were just too stiff for me. If you like really firm boots then you probably like these a lot, they're not hard, but firm, a bit more firm than green super feet I would say. The rest of the shoe is great.
