Have taken this on a few multi-day walks through the bush in queensland, australia. we got quite a bit of rain and fortunately our map stayed dry, but i would say that was more because we kept our map inside our bag.. which also stayed dry.

My maps have always taken a beating but should be well protected now. I've used this a couple of times already and have found it to be very useful - nice having access to my map from the outside? It looks like it might leak in a pouring rain (if left outside the pack) but the functionality far outweighs and possible leakage issues.
Product is as advertised. It worked great, I really loved having the map easily accessible. The only reason it did not get 5 starts was because I was not a fan of having trapped to my sternum strap.
